| In 2018, Lithuania celebrates the 100th anniversary of its restoration. Today it is a free and a modern country with a unique history which has been being daily created by millions of its fellow countrymen. Some of them have been together for a hundred years already. „100 Years Together“ is a project of artistic visualizations that feature memoirs, experiences and life stories of the contemporaries of the Republic of Lithuania and their families, through photographs and documentary film. Authentic stories of centenarians reveal how major events for the country had changed the lives of its people, how we, the people of Lithuania, have changed together with the country over that century. We aimed to artistically highlight the most remarkable episodes in the centenarians’ lives and reveal the modern face of old age people through their unique individual stories. A film and a photo album „100 Years Together“ perpetuate the memory of our heroes born 1918 and earlier, who are the direct witnesses of the restoration of the Independence of Lithuania, reveal the experience of people by various professions, nationalities, social and cultural layers. The project celebrates the centennial of the restoration of the Independence of Lithuania and highlights our pride in our country and its countrymen. |

| The initiative to hold discussion festival in Lithuania was inspired by the examples of Democracy festivals in all Scandinavian countries as well as Latvia and Estonia. The festival’s mission is to contribute to building a democratic welfare state by fostering a culture of discussion, concord and tolerance. Festival is an annual assembly of people from political, business, academic, cultural, non-governmental organizations and other sectors to discuss most important topics of the development of the state, share ideas and forge new collaborations. More than 70 open-air discussions, forums, speeches and talk-shows gathered about 3000 participants in September of 2017 in Birštonas.
