On 5 February 2015 SORAINEN organized a seminar “Data Protection: a Basic Guide for Your Business” in cooperation with BMI Alumni. During the seminar SORAINEN lawyers addressed various data protection related topics such as data processor vs data controller, grounds for processing personal data, data transfers, data subjects’ rights, data retention, technical and organisational data safety measures, anticipated regulatory developments and much more. Through joint discussion with the seminar attendees SORAINEN lawyers analysed practical situations, every-day activities as well as the most common mistakes made by businesses when processing personal data. SORAINEN lawyers presenting during the seminar and moderating the discussion were partner Renata Beržanskienė, senior associate Vytė Danilevičiūtė and legal assistant Dovilė Baskakovaitė.
