BMI Alumni President Visits Paris to Expand Collaboration with HEC Alumni

BMI Alumni Association President Vaiva Tyliene recently was in Paris for meetings at HEC Paris and the headquarters of the HEC Paris Alumni Association. This was the second such meeting since HEC Paris Alumni, the prestigious global network of graduates of HEC Paris School of Management, granted BMI graduates associate membership status.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss practical forms of cooperation and exchange. According to Ms. Tyliene, the most important subject addressed during the meeting was the renewal of the HEC Paris Alumni organization website in order to facilitate the participation of BMI Alumni Association members in HEC Alumni networking and events. “This opportunity would be especially appealing to BMI graduates who live and work abroad,” says Ms. Tyliene.

The activity of the HEC Alumni Association focuses on enhancing the careers of HEC alumni by organising events, networking and promoting the name of HEC. Currently HEC Paris unites 45000 alumni, has 69 active chapters around the world, and organizes 800 events each year.

“The meeting was sincere, open and beneficial. Even though the BMI and HEC Paris alumni associations differ in size and length of history, we believe that the ideas discussed, such as Volunteer, Mentoring, Internal Career Forum, might be implemented and beneficial to BMI Alumni,” says Ms. Tyliene.

She expresses gratitude to Prof. Jean- Paul Larcon, BMI Vice-Chairman for Academic Affairs, and Gariella Mazzini, BMI Board Member. “They made important contribution while organizing the meeting and cooperation.”
