On January 28th (2014) BMI Alumni Association together with SEB Bank Lithuania held an event "Introduction of the euro in Lithuania: a tool, not a panacea" at the SEB's business support office in Vilnius.

We are pleased to offer BMI graduates a chance to upgrade some of the valuable practical knowledge they got in the BMI International Executive MBA programme (and also, of course, to network!) This is the first instalment of the BMI EMBA Upgrade Session. New and diverse instalments are planned roughly every 6 months. They are open to all BMI EMBA graduates, from class I to the most recent alumni class XIII, and are free of charge. Space is limited.

On November 20 BMI Alumni Association held an untraditional event which took place in the workshop of Sigitas Staniūnas, one of the most notable and exclusive Lithuanian artists. S. Staniūnas uses both modern techniques and traditional methods in order to explore and expand the world of painting. His artwork links spiritual, idealistic and symbolic elements of both images and colors with historical and psychological contexts. Various art objects and installations are sometimes put on display at the same time in order to emphasize the ideas in his paintings.

On the 15th of September more than 20 members of the BMI Alumni (representatives of 10 different graduate years) participated in Vilnius Danske marathon for the first time as one BMI alumni team in all distances starting from 4,2 km.

This Saturday BMI Alumni from 8 different Executive MBA classes competed in the second BMI Alumni Tennis Tournament. 15 participants have tried their hands in singles and doubles competitions. 　28 matches - 22 singles and 6 doubles, were played.

BMI Alumni Association together with “Personalo Valdymo Profesionalų Asociacija“ (PVPA) has presented a lively discussion Event „HR in Business context“ which took place on 9 July at Conference center of Comfort hotel. Guest speaker was Bertil Abrahamsson, temporary Acting HR Department Director at the company TEO Lt - an expert of rich international experience of HR Manager.

10 teams have convened competition in Neringa region which was organized in a new cognitive concept. During the competition, teams competed in solving 24 riddles and tasks such like counting lighthouses, visiting a museum of weather vanes or pier of Preila, etc. The winner was a team who has collected the most points and used the least time for that.

The Annual Meeting of BMI Alumni Association, the main yearly event for its members, took place on April 29th.

BMI Alumni Association President Vaiva Tyliene recently was in Paris for meetings at HEC Paris and the headquarters of the HEC Paris Alumni Association. This was the second such meeting since HEC Paris Alumni, the prestigious global network of graduates of HEC Paris School of Management, granted BMI graduates associate membership status.

"Cloud + Legal“ was the theme of traditional discussion event of BMI Alumni Association, which was held on January 28, 2013. The purpose was to identify the legal risks, discuss existing practices and hidden aspects of cloud computing.
